UPDATE: After installing the above files, download the following file to update.

To install: You must unzip the file into your Route Control folder (usually Train Simulator\Train Station\Route Control). After it's unzipped, please verify that it is indeed working by going to your Options screen. In the upper right should be the phrase "Route Control Version 1.12". If it doesn't say this, then you have not unzipped it to the correct folder. Otherwise it has been installed correctly.

  • Stop Crashes with the incredible "Checkup" mode
Automatically seeks out problem spots with activities and consists, and generates a report based on its findings. Quickly discover hidden problems before they ruin your day and crash the sim.

  • Informative, user-friendly interface
Route Control's design gets the job done quickly. Each function is clearly labeled and described fully on the Route Manager screen. First time users are walked through the program with flashing buttons to show each step.

  • Fully documented help system
Get the information you need with the click of a button. Includes a very simple to follow "Quick Start Guide".

  • Online Support forum (ARCHIVED HERE)
Find all the latest news, a list of frequently asked questions and answers, and a helpful troubleshooting section. We've developed a great reputation for providing quick and friendly support on a daily basis.

* Please note that although Route Control is designed to be as flexible as possible, due to the nature of how routes are created not all routes will work with the program. Route Control is also not recommended for use with commercially purchased custom routes.

Extra Files for Downloading

If you're using the full version of Route Control, you'll definitely want to download the extra files listed below. Some routes use special files that aren't normally available in Train Simulator, and without these files the routes that use them won't work correctly. Route Control has a custom folder it looks in to see if you have any of these special files available. If you do, then it will automatically use them for the routes that need them.

You should definitely visit the sites below and download the files listed if you would like full compatibility with as many routes as possible. To install these files for use with Route Control, use an unzip program such as Winzip.
Make absolutely sure you have the "Use Folder Names" option turned on.

Extract the files to: Train Simulator\Route_Control_Extras
If this folder doesn't exist yet, start Route Control and it will create it for you.

Once you've unzipped the files to this folder, they will automatically be used by Route Control when needed.
